Who is Katia Choucair?
Real estate has been an integral part of Katia Choucair’s life for many years. With over 30 years’ experience, she began her career in real estate as a visitor receptionist for a property developer. His passion for the field and his interest in sales and customer service soon led him to join the developer’s sales team. As a result, she quickly acquired a wealth of experience.
Several years later, she continued my development in the field as a real estate broker with an agency.
In 2005, ready for new challenges, she opened her own agency. Teaming up with her husband, Roger Couturier, she opened the first Royal LePage Altitude office on Nun’s Island. At the time, the intention was to form a small team of 7 to 10 brokers at most. But sometimes life throws up surprises, and in 2010 she opened a second office in Griffintown/Ville-Marie. Since then, the constant expansion of his vision has enabled him to surround himself with a formidable team of nearly 100 brokers.
As owner and agency manager of these two offices, her mission is to provide her brokers with a professional, honest and rigorous work environment, as well as the constant guidance and support they need to excel in their real estate careers. What’s more, it’s committed to offering consumers a top-notch customer experience.
Real estate and Covid according to Katia
2020 was a landmark year for us all. However, the real estate sector was favored over other economic sectors. Despite a 2-month halt in the spring, the market is doing very well, with record sales according to the Real Estate Board.
But visions have changed. Adjustments had to be made quickly, and new technologies enabled real estate professionals to continue working. Many things can now be done remotely.
People have gone back to basics, and brokers are also more likely to listen to their customers.
Why were so many sales recorded?
After a confined spring, he had a certain catch-up effect with transactions that were on pause.
However, in view of the current situation, people have reviewed their priorities, and the house has become one of them.
The home has become a safe haven.

For many people, it’s now essential to feel good in their own home, which is why real estate is so popular right now. What’s more, telecommuting makes this even more noticeable.
What will the future of real estate look like?
Certain predicts a crash in 2021. But for Katia, that shouldn’t be the case.
Admittedly, some sectors, notably the city center, may find it harder to recover, but for the most part the market should remain in good shape. Some products and neighborhoods are still booming. These two contexts should enable us to rebalance.
Finally, with the progress of Covid vaccines and the efforts of all concerned, the overall health situation should improve during 2021. Katia remains positive and optimistic about the future.
