Why invest?
Why invest in normal times?
Under normal circumstances, investing is a way of making your money grow, rather than letting it sit idle in a savings account. If you have time on your hands, long-term investments will enable you to prepare for the future with peace of mind.
Why invest in Covid?
With the Covid crisis, many investors were somewhat chilled. However, the biggest mistake to make in times of crisis, as Anik Lehouiller explained, is to sell your shares.
In fact, it’s always much more attractive to sell on the upside and buy on the downside. In this case, it’s much more attractive to buy over the medium and long term. In fact, nearly 60% of our customers have done so.
How do you invest and manage your portfolio?
In investing, the first rule is to diversify your investments so that you always have something that is growing in value. You can invest in gold, bitcoin, stocks, life insurance, RRSPs…
What’s more, it’s important to look at your investments over the short, medium and long term. This allows you to plan ahead and protect yourself from fluctuations in the economic markets.
What will become of economic markets in the face of Covid?
We’re currently in the midst of a health crisis, and although business is gradually picking up, we’re still in a period of uncertainty.
We’re facing a different financial crisis from previous ones, because this one is linked to a pandemic. Many changes are in store. However, this should not be seen in a negative light. There are always great opportunities to be seized in every situation.
